Jackfruit Shawarma Recipe

  • 1 Tin of Jackfruit
  • 2 Tbsp Oil
  • 1 Tbsp Shwarma Seasoning
  • 1 Red Onion diced
  • 1 Clove Of Garlic minced
  • Lettuce To Garnish
  • 4 Pittas or Tortillas
  1. Mix jackfruit and shawarma seasoning in a bowl to marinade.
  2. Heat oil in a large frying pan. Saute onion until translucent and soft. Add Garlic and cook for a further 1 minute.
  3. Add jackfruit and shawarma seasoning and stir to mix.
  4. Cook until the jackfruit is soft and starting to brown.
  5. Lightly heat pittas under grill being careful not to burn.
  6. Fill each pitta with lettuce, and vegan shawarma mix.
  7. Serve with your favourite dip or sauce. We recommend you try some sriracha mayo it goes perfectly together.
