Jackfruit Shawarma Recipe
- 1 Tin of Jackfruit
- 2 Tbsp Oil
- 1 Tbsp Shwarma Seasoning
- 1 Red Onion diced
- 1 Clove Of Garlic minced
- Lettuce To Garnish
- 4 Pittas or Tortillas
- Mix jackfruit and shawarma seasoning in a bowl to marinade.
- Heat oil in a large frying pan. Saute onion until translucent and soft. Add Garlic and cook for a further 1 minute.
- Add jackfruit and shawarma seasoning and stir to mix.
- Cook until the jackfruit is soft and starting to brown.
- Lightly heat pittas under grill being careful not to burn.
- Fill each pitta with lettuce, and vegan shawarma mix.
- Serve with your favourite dip or sauce. We recommend you try some sriracha mayo it goes perfectly together.
